Just what is the difference between a wedding and an event anyway?  In terms of photography - not always a ton. 

Event photography can vary greatly by the individual event.  Some events are more focused on music while others might be about food.  It is our goal to work closely with the event organizers to ensure that the photography matches up with expectations and is beneficial for future marketing needs. 

Just what type of event photography are you looking for?  Often events will include a combination of many type of photography - and we are prepared to capture them all for you.  

Candids: This is the most common event photography style.  It captures guests having a great time and everything in place.  Depending on the event venue and guidelines - we may opt to use flash to really show off food being served and decor.  But candids help share folks interacting and the event as it happens.

Posed Guest Photos: Whether a planned promotional step-and-repeat or posed family photos during a birthday party - including some posed photos is a great way to elevate the event coverage.  We work with the event organizer to decide both the best place and best timing for these photos to take place within the general event flow. 

Performances: With our long-standing concert and live event background - capturing planned performances is one of our specialties. From daytime to full stage lighting and everything in between - we have tons of experience with performance photography.  

Future Marketing: For annual events, one thing we keep our eye towards is photos that can be used for future marketing.  Sometimes this means taking a couple items over to a table and creating a still-life photo, and other times it is making sure to take a moment for a team photo.  We understand that marketing is everything to annual events - and do our best to work collaboratively with event organizers if they see a future need we can accomplish.
